Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information
Condition
Lock-up solenoid SL controls the transmission lock-up function and certain gear shifts in the transmission. Solenoid SLU operates when it receives voltage from the transmission control module (TCM) and is activated under different driving conditions depending on road speed, throttle position and the driving mode selected. Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) TCM-0110 is stored if the control module registers a short-circuit to ground in the solenoid SLU circuit when the solenoid should be activated. Solenoid SLU can probably not be activated.
Substitute value
- The transmission control module (TCM) "Emergency mode I" program has been initiated.
- The transmission control module (TCM) does not activate the lock-up solenoid.
Possible source
- Short-circuit to ground in the signal cable.
- Defective control module.
- Defective solenoid.
Fault symptom[s]
- General orange warning lamp lit.
- No shifting.
- Irregular shifting.
- No lock-up function.
