Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) PHM-0004 is stored if the carphone module registers that there is a short-circuit to ground in the signal to the hands-free speaker.
Substitute value
- Only the handset functions.
Possible source
- There is a short-circuit to ground in the wiring (HF+, HF-) between the hands-free speaker and the control module.
Fault symptom[s]
- Hands-free mode does not function
- Message in the text display (for carphones with Volvo On Call).
