Checking components and connections

Note! If there are other diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) stored in the engine control module (ECM), these must be fault traced first.

- Ignition on
- Activate the smart tool to read off the ranking values
- Check the ranking values for the diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) listed in the smart tool by marking the relevant code.
This diagnostic trouble code (DTC) indicates that the throttle is stuck in the open position. This may have caused the reduction the brake vacuum.
To determine the fault which has caused the throttle to stick in the open position, read off the ranking values. By looking at the ranking values, the fault can be found even though no diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored. For further information about the ranking values, see Ranking values Ranking Values.
During this fault-tracing, the smart tool reads off the ranking values for diagnostic trouble code (DTC) ECM-91AC. This diagnostic trouble code (DTC) has fault causes which may have led to reduced braking power.
The ranking values vary between 0 and 255. If the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) has a ranking value above 128, fault-trace using the standard procedures.
