Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) ECM-900C is stored in the engine control module (ECM) if the engine control module (ECM) registers an internal malfunction.
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) ECM-900C can be diagnosed when the ignition is on.
Substitute value
- Various internal signals in the engine control module (ECM) are replaced with default values
- The cruise control is disengaged when the malfunction is active
- The electronic throttle unit follows the pulse width modulation (PWM) accelerator pedal signal directly.
Possible source
- Poorly charged battery or corroded connecting cables
- Defective engine control module (ECM).
Fault symptom[s]
- Malfunction indicator light (MIL) on.
