Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information ECM-400A
Condition
The engine control module (ECM) detects a fault in the EVAP valve by analyzing the signal from the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the engine control module (ECM) registers that the EVAP valve has stuck.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed when the engine is running.

- The hose between the intake manifold and evaporative emission system (EVAP) valve is defective, blocked or trapped
- The hose between the evaporative emission system (EVAP) valve and canister is defective, blocked or trapped
- The EVAP valve has stuck in the open position
- The EVAP valve has stuck in the closed position.

- Malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) lit
- Fuel smell.
