Replacing the front wheel hub
Special tools:
951 2050 BEVEL PROTRACTOR 951 2050 Bevel Protractor
Removing the front wheel hub
- Remove the wheel spindle. See Wheel spindle, replacement Removal and Replacement
- Place the wheel spindle in a soft jawed vice.
Remove
- the four screws holding the hub to the wheel spindle
- the hub.
Installing the front wheel hub
Note! Ensure that the hub and the wheel spindle mating surfaces are clean.
- Install the hub. Usenew screws
- Tighten crosswise. Tighten to 20 Nm. Then tighten to 65 Nm. Finally angle-tighten 60°. Use bevel protractor 951 2050 BEVEL PROTRACTOR 951 2050 Bevel Protractor
- Install the wheel spindle. See Wheel spindle, replacement Removal and Replacement.
