- If control unit has to open or close idling valve too much to maintain constant idling conditions, control unit will interpret this as a fault and record a fault code.
- Start engine, and run it until it reaches normal operating temperature. Ensure gear selector is in Neutral and A/C is off. To determine whether an air leak is present, clamp air valve hose and observe engine speed. If engine speed exceeds 600-700 RPM, air leakage is present or throttle disc is incorrectly adjusted.
