- Ignition on.

Pump motor should not be on.

Check if pump motor is running continuously or cuts in soon after the ignition is switched on.

If pump motor does not cut in or run continuously:
- Check pump motor and rotation sensor EL4. Checking Pump Motor and Rotation Sensor [EL4]

If pump motor starts but then stops again:
- Check lead between combination relay 15-pin connector terminal 13 and control module #15 for short to ground as per HA3. Short Circuit to Ground [HA3]

If pump motor runs continuously:
- Check leads between combination relay 15-pin connector terminal 13 and 12 and control module #15 and #34 for short to ground as per HA3. Short Circuit to Ground [HA3]
