Reassembly (Upper Rear Valve Body)

- Install detent regulator valve and spring into bore. Compress spring with large screwdriver, and slip retainer over end of spring. Ensure retainer fully covers end of spring.
- Install intermediate coast modulator valve and spring. Install rear valve cover and temporarily hold in position with one bolt, on side nearer to intermediate coast modulator valve. Install reverse clutch sequence valve and spring. Install plug. Install low coast modulator valve and spring. Install other bolt and tighten both bolts.
- Install 2-3 shift valve, plug and valve retainer in valve body. Install 2-3 shift valve spring, intermediate coast shift valve, plug and retainer. Install steel check ball and 3 rubber check balls. See Fig 1 .
