- Remove check balls from upper rear valve body with tweezers. See Figure . Remove intermediate coast shift valve retainer, plug, valve and spring. Remove 2-3 shift valve retainer, plug and valve. See Figure .
- Remove bolt nearest to low coast modulator valve from rear valve cover. Slightly rotate cover to release low coast modulator valve. Remove spring and low coast modulator valve. Rotate cover higher, and remove plug, reverse clutch sequence valve and spring. Remove rear valve cover, spring and intermediate modulator valve. Remove detent regulator valve retainer, spring and detent regulator valve.
