- Turn ignition off. Connect an ohmmeter between terminal No. 7 (Yellow/White wire on 240 Series; Orange wire on all others) of ignition system ECU connector. Reading should be zero ohms.
- Press accelerator pedal slightly to open throttle switch. Reading should be infinite. If resistance is not as specified, check resistance at throttle switch. For throttle switch testing and adjustment, see SYSTEM/COMPONENT TESTS article in the ENGINE PERFORMANCE Section.
