Piston pin should slide through connecting rod and piston with light thumb pressure. Install piston on connecting rod so notch in piston aligns with identification area (number) of connecting rod. See Fig 1. Install piston and rod assembly with notch on top of piston toward front of engine.

CAUTION: DO NOTΒ  reuse connecting rod bolts if length exceeds 2.187" (55.54 mm). Apply light coat of engine oil to connecting rod bolts before installation.
