Cooling System, Filling With Cooling System Charge Kit Vas 6096
Special tools and workshop equipment required
- Adapter: VAS 691 005/5
- Electric Vacuum Pump: VAS 6096/2
- Cooling System Charge Device: VAS 6968
- Cooling System Charge Kit: VAS 6096
- Cooling System Tester: V.A.G 1274B
- Hose Clamps - Up To 25mm: 3094
Preparation
-- Connect all coolant hoses.
-- Screw the Adapter: VAS 691 005/5 -2- on the coolant expansion tank -1-.
-- Position the Cooling System Charge Device: VAS 6968 -F- so that it is higher than the coolant expansion tank -arrows-.
Condition
- The coolant filling device must be filled with a minimum 10 liters of coolant in the correct mixture ratio. Refer to REPLACEMENT PARTS, WORKING MATERIALS AND EXPENDABLE ITEMS .
-- Bleed the hose -G-. For this open the shut-off valve on the coolant filling device -F- and the shut-off valve -A- until the hose -G- is filled with coolant and no air is present.
-- Closes the shut-off valve -A-.
-- Open the cap -1-.
