P1A06 - VEHICLE MODE SIGNAL

Description:  The transaxle control module (TCM) continuously monitors the controller area network (CAN) for a vehicle mode message from the powertrain control module (PCM). This DTC is set when the received message does not match the actual vehicle mode.
Possible Causes: 
  • Damaged PCM
  • Damaged TCM
Diagnostic Aids:   
Application  Key On Engine Off  Key On Engine Running  Continuous Memory
