- Loosen or tighten screws and nuts on covers or housing diagonally.
- The tightening specifications stated apply to non-oiled nuts and bolts.
- Use a wire brush to clean the threads of bolts that were screwed in with locking compound. Install the bolts with Locking FluidAMV185101A1.
- Clean all threaded holes with a thread tap to remove any locking fluid residue. Otherwise the bolts could shear the next time they are removed.
- Always replace self-locking nuts and bolts.
