Measuring Procedure

                 
  Start Perform wheel run-out compensation. Bounce vehicle  
               
  Turn the steering wheel into the straight ahead position and secure it (1) Measure vehicle height Insert the Brake Pedal ActuatorVAG1869/2.  
               
  Check camber at front axle Is actual value within tolerance? No  
             
    Yes   Adjusting. Refer to FRONT AXLE CAMBER, CORRECTING .  
             
     
               
  Check rear axle camber Is actual value within tolerance? No  
             
    Yes   Checking (torsion beam rear suspension). Refer to REAR TORSION BEAM SUSPENSION CAMBER, CHECKING . Adjusting (multi-link rear suspension). Refer to MULTI-LINK REAR SUSPENSION CAMBER, ADJUSTING .  
             
     
               
  Check toe at rear axle Is actual value within tolerance? No  
             
    Yes   Checking (torsion beam rear suspension). Refer to REAR TORSION BEAM SUSPENSION TOE, CHECKING . Adjusting (multi-link rear suspension). Refer to MULTI-LINK REAR SUSPENSION TOE, ADJUSTING .  
             
     
               
  Check caster at front axle Is actual value within tolerance? No  
             
    Yes   Check the axle components and assembly  
             
     
               
  Check toe at front axle Is actual value within tolerance? No  
             
  End Yes   Adjusting. Refer to FRONT AXLE TOE, ADJUSTING .  
             
     
(1) If steering wheel is crooked at end of alignment procedure, it must be straightened. Perform a basic setting on the Steering Angle Sensor -G85- using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
