Transmission, Transporting

2012 Volkswagen Jetta TDI, 4D Sedan, Standard TransSECTION Transmission, Transporting
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2016 Volkswagen Beetle, 2015 Volkswagen Beetle, 2014 Volkswagen Beetle, and 2013 Volkswagen Beetle. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Always secure heaving parts when transporting them.

Remember there is oil in the transmission. Do not turn the transmission with the vents facing downward when transporting or when it is on the assembly stand. The oil will leak out.

NOTE:

Remove the bleed caps if necessary and use oil-tight plugs.
