2012 Volkswagen Golf TDI, 2D Hatchback, Automatic DCT TransSECTION Instrument Panel Fuse Panel

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

  • Torque Wrench V.A.G 1410
  • Trim Removal Wedge VAS 3409
CAUTION:

Follow the procedure in the Repair Instruction when disconnecting and connecting the battery. Refer to BATTERY, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING .

Removal 

-- Disconnect the battery. Refer to BATTERY, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING .

-- Remove side cover -1- of instrument panel, do this by inserting VAS 3409 or a screwdriver into recess -2- and pry off cover -1- in -direction of arrow-.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and the fuse panel -1-. Be careful of the connected wires.

Installation 

Install in reverse order of removal, noting the following:

-- Tighten the bolts to 4 Nm.
