When working on the fuel supply/injection system, pay careful attention to the following "5 rules" of cleanliness:Β
- Always clean connecting points and surrounding areas before loosening.
- Place the removed parts on a clean surface and cover them. Only use lint-free cloths!
- Carefully cover or seal opened components if the repair will not be done immediately.
- Only install clean parts: remove replacement parts from the packaging immediately prior to installation. Do not use parts that have been stored loose (for example, in tool boxes etc.).
- When the fuel system is open: avoid working with compressed air if possible. Do not move vehicle unless absolutely necessary.
