  • Turn the ignition off.
  • Disconnect the ESP switch.
  • Using a test lamp connected to 12 volts, check the ground circuit.

Does the test lamp illuminate brightly?

Yes

  • Go to Test Step 3 - Check for Stuck ESP Switch

No

  • Repair ground circuit for an open or high resistance.
  • Perform the ABS Verification Test.
