Removal And Installation: Thermostat: Installing
-- Clean the thermostat housing sealing surfaces.
-- Install the thermostat and gasket into the thermostat housing. For ease of installation, install the bolts into the housing for thermostat and gasket retention.
-- Position the thermostat housing to the intake manifold. Tighten the thermostat housing bolts to 12 Nm (106 in lbs).
-- Install radiator upper hose to the thermostat housing (1).
-- Position and Tighten the radiator upper hose clamp at the thermostat housing (1).
-- Fill the cooling system. Refer to COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING AND FILLINGΒ .
-- Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to BATTERY, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING .
