2008 Volkswagen Eos Turbo, StandardSECTION Removal

Perform the following work first:

-- Turn off all electric consumers.

-- Switch off the ignition.

-- Remove the key.

-- Extract refrigerant using ROB 134APF.

NOTE:

Environmentally hazardous draining of refrigerant is an offense punishable by law.

-- Remove the rear bumper. Refer to Removal and Installation .

-- Remove the lock carrier. Refer to Removal and Installation .

WARNING:

There is a danger of ice-up.

Refrigerant leaks out if refrigerant circuit is not discharged.

Refrigerant must be extracted before opening the refrigerant circuit. If refrigerant circuit is not opened within 10 minutes of extraction, pressure may form in refrigerant circuit due to evaporation. Extract refrigerant once more.

-- Remove the refrigerant lines on the condenser (12 Β± 1.8 Nm) and seal off.

-- Remove the bolts -6- and -8- and the condenser.
