Engine, Securing To The Engine And Transmission Holder: Procedure

-- Separate the transmission from the engine, refer to one of the following:

Vehicles with a manual transmission, refer to ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION, SEPARATING .

Vehicles with a Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG®), refer to ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION, SEPARATING .

-- Engage the Lifting Tackle 3033 as follows and lift the engine using the Shop Crane VAS6100 from the Engine/Gearbox Jack VAG1383A.

Flywheel side: Position 4.

Vibration damper side: Position 8.

-- Secure the engine to the Engine and Transmission Holder VAS6095 using the Engine/Transmission Holder - Universal Mounting VAS6095/1.
