After removing the old brake lamp switch it should be replaced with a new one (see Fig 2 ).
Distinguishing characteristics.
Only use new brake lamp switches.
The most noticeable difference is the new brake lamp switch has a clear rounded end on the plunger head -A-.

When to See a Mechanic
