- Remove fuse 18 (S18).
- Bridge connector and Camshaft Position (CMP) Sensor (G40) using VAG 1315A/4 adapter cable.
- Connect VAG 1527B voltage tester (LED test light) to test connectors -2- and -3-, using cables from VAG 1594 adapter kit.
- Operate starter.
- LED must flicker
- If necessary replace Camshaft Position (CMP) Sensor (G40): see MOTRONIC IGNITION SYSTEM, COMPONENTS , item -1-.
