Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) memory, checking (function 02): Notes
- Connect VAG 1551 Scan Tool (ST), input address word 56, "Radio", and press --> button until "Select function XX" appears in display. See VAG 1551 Scan Tool (ST), connecting, selecting functions and checking control module (radio) versionΒ .
- Switch on printer with the Print button (indicator lamp in button lights up).
Indicated on display (select function):
- Press buttons -0- and -2- to select function 02, check Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) memory.
Indicated on display:
- Press -Q- button to confirm input.
The number of stored malfunctions appears in the display.
The number of stored DTCs or "No DTC s recognized" appears in the display and are printed out one after another.
- When the last DTC has been displayed and printed out, correct malfunctions as described in DTC table. See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) TABLEΒ .
If "No DTC recognized" is displayed, the program will return to the initial position after pressing button.
Indicated on display (select function):
If display not indicated as shown: check Scan tool operating instructions.
- End output (function 06). See END OUTPUT (FUNCTION 06)Β .
- Switch off ignition and disconnect Data Link Connector (DLC).
- Correct malfunction.
- Erase Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) memory (function 05).
- Check Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) memory (function 02).
