COMPONENTS TESTED BY ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTICS
NOTE: If the Engine Control Module (ECM) or Transmission Control Module (TCM) is replaced, or if the repairs are performed on the Throttle Position (TP) Sensor; the system must be restored to the basic setting.

1 Transmission Control Module (TCM) -J2I7-
Location: Transmission Control Module (TCM) -J217- is located under the rear seat.
2 Engine Control Module (ECM)
Location: Engine Control Module is located in right plenum chamber.
3 Data Link Connector (DLC)
Location: The Data Link Connectors (DLC) are located behind the cover next to the ashtray.
4 Valve Body
Location: Valve Body is bolted to underside of the transmission housing inside the oil pan.
- The Solenoid Valves -N88-, -N89-, -N90-, -N91-, -N92-, -N93-, -N94- are attached to the valve body.
5 Conductor Strip with Fluid Temperature Sensor
Location: The conductor strip is located in the oil pan on the valve body.
- The conductor strip can be changed with the transmission installed without removing the valve body.
- Do not kink or damage the conductor strip.
6 Multi-Function Transmission Range (TR) Switch -F125-
Location: At rear of gearbox.
7 Transmission Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) -G38-
Location: On top of transmission.
- Do not interchange connector T2 for Vehicle Speed Sensors -G38- and -G68-.
8 Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) -G68-
Location: On top of transmission.
Do not interchange connector T2 for Vehicle Speed Sensors -G38- and -G68-.
9 Throttle Position (TP) Sensor -G69-
Location: On the throttle valve housing (engine). Construction can vary, according to engine.
10 Shift Lock Solenoid -N110-
Location: The Shift Lock Solenoid is located on the selector lever.
11 Cruise Control Switch -E45-
Location: On steering column switch.
12 Kickdown Switch -F8-
Location: The Kickdown Switch is integrated in the accelerator cable and is located on the dash panel in the engine compartment.
13 Brake Light Switch -F-
Location: The Brake Light Switch is located on the pedal cluster.
14 Park/Neutral Position (PNP) Relay -J226-
Location: Relay is located on additional relay panel under instrument panel, left.
