2001 Volkswagen Cabrio GLX (1V7) L4-2.0L (ABA)SECTION Customer Safety Information

WARNING:
- If liquid A/C refrigerant has come in contact with your skin or eyes:
* Do not rub skin or eyes.
* Immediately flush with cool water for at least 15 minutes.
* Rush to a doctor or hospital.
* Do not attempt to treat yourself.

- Work in a well ventilated area. A/C refrigerant gases are heavier than air, displace oxygen and may cause suffocation in areas of poor air circulation, such as underneath the car.

- Switch on existing exhaust/ventilation systems when working on the refrigerant system.

- Avoid breathing refrigerant vapors. Exposure may irritate eyes, nose and throat.

- Always wear hand and eye protection (gloves and goggles) when working around the A/C system.

- Do not expose any A/C system component to open flame or high temperatures above 80° C (176° F). Excessive heat will cause an increase in pressure, which could burst the system.
