On Board Diagnostic (OBD) For Radio-frequency Remote Control For Central Locking, Initiating

Test requirements:
- All fuses OK according to wiring diagram.
- Battery voltage at least 9 volts.

NOTE:
- If nothing is indicated on display, check voltage supply for Fault read out device V.A.G 1551 according to wiring diagram, => Electrical Wiring Diagrams, Troubleshooting and Component Locations
- Depending on program, additional operating information can be printed out by pressing HELP button of Fault read out device V.A.G 1551.
- --> -button is used for advancing through program sequence.
- PRINT button is used for switching on printer (lamp in button illuminates).

- Fault read out device V.A.G 1551, connecting.
- Switch on ignition.

Indicated on display:

Enter address word XX

- Press buttons - 3 - and - 5 - (35 is address word for vehicle system to be tested, "central locking system").

Indicated on display after entering address word 35:

35 Central locking

- Press Q button to confirm input.
and then following is indicated:

Scan tool sends address word 35

Fault read out device V.A.G 1551 scan tool display displays control module identification, e.g.:

7D0 959 800 B Radio-frequency control module 0001->
Coding 00001 WSC XXXXX

- Press --> -button.
