NOTE: If Engine Control Module (ECM) -J257- or Transmission Control Module (TCM) -J217- are replaced, or if repairs are performed on the Throttle Position (TP) Sensor -G69-, the system must be restored to the basic setting, Initiating basic setting.
1 - Transmission - Control Module (TCM) -J217-
- Location: Transmission Control Module (TCM) -J217- is located in right footwell on A pillar
- Checked by On Board Diagnostic (OBD)
2 - Engine Control Module (ECM) -J257-
- Location: Depends on engine equipment
3 - Data Link Connector (DLC)
- Location: The Data Link Connectors (DLC) are located above the relay plate.
4 - Valve body
- The Solenoid Valves -N88-, -N89-, -N90-, -N91-, -N92-, -N93-, -N94- and the transmission temperature sensor -G93- are attached to the valve body
- Components are checked by OBD
5 - Multi-Function Transmission Range (TR) Switch -F125-
- Checked by OBD
6 - Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) -G68-
- Checked by OBD
7 - Throttle Position (TP) Sensor -G69-
- Location: The Throttle Position (TP) Sensor is located on the engine throttle valve housing
- Checked by OBD
- Various types according to engine version
8 - Shift Lock Solenoid -N110-
- Location: Solenoid is located on selector lever mount
- Can be checked electrically and by reading measured value block
9 - Cruise Control Switch -E45-
- Location: Steering column switch
- Can be checked by reading measured value block
10 - Kickdown Switch -F8-
- Location: The Kickdown Switch -F8- is integrated in the throttle cable in front of engine compartment
- Can be checked electrically and by reading measured value block
- Adjusting throttle cable
11 - Brake Light Switch -F-
- Location: The Brake Light Switch is located on the pedal cluster
- Can be checked electrically and by reading measured value block
12 - Transmission - Range (TR) Program Switch -E122-
- Location: The Transmission Range (TR) Program Switch -E122- is located in the center of the instrument panel
- Is no longer installed on transmissions for vehicles with electronic shift program
- Can be checked electrically and by reading measured value block
13 - Park/Neutral Position (PNP) Relay -J226-
- Location: Relay plate
14 - Transmission - Range (TR) Selector Lever Display -Y5-
- Location: The Transmission Range (TR) Selector Lever Display -Y5- is located in the center of instrument panel
- Discontinued after moving display to instrument cluster
15 - Transmission - Range (TR) Selector Lever Display -Y5-
- Location: The Transmission Range (TR) Selector Lever Display is located in the instrument cluster
16 - Throttle Position (TP) Sensor -G69- (for Diesel engine)
- Location: The Throttle Position (TP) Sensor is located on injection pump throttle lever
- Checked by OBD
- Can be checked and adjusted in "reading measured value block" mode
17 - Engine Speed (RPM) Sensor -G28- (for Diesel engine)
- The Engine Speed (RPM) Sensor is located on top-of torque converter.
