PCV System: Operation

1984 Volkswagen Jetta GL, 1.6 HSECTION Operation

Crankcase vapors and blow-by gases flow from the valve cover through the rubber hose and into the air cleaner where they mix with fresh intake air. From the air cleaner they are drawn into the combustion chambers and burned.
