  1. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 24 [11/2018 - 02/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 24 [02/2019 - 08/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 24 [08/2020 - 10/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 25 [10/2023 - ]

  2. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 26 [11/2018 - 02/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 26 [02/2019 - 08/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 26 [08/2020 - 10/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 27 [10/2023 - ]

  3. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  4. REMOVE ACCELERATOR PEDAL (W/SENSOR) ROD ASSEMBLY 
    NOTE:
    • Avoid physical shock to the accelerator pedal sensor assembly.
    • Do not disassemble the accelerator pedal sensor assembly.
    • The accelerator pedal sensor assembly does not require lubrication.
    • Do not apply oil or other lubricants to the accelerator pedal sensor assembly. If applied, the accelerator pedal sensor assembly must be replaced.
    1. Disconnect the accelerator pedal sensor assembly connector.

    2. Remove the 3 nuts and disconnect the rod of the accelerator pedal sensor assembly from the accelerator pedal to remove the accelerator pedal sensor assembly.
      NOTE:

      If the accelerator pedal sensor assembly has been struck or dropped, replace it.

  5. REMOVE ACCELERATOR PEDAL PAD 
    1. Disengage the 4 claws and remove the accelerator pedal pad from the accelerator pedal.

  6. REMOVE ACCELERATOR PEDAL ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts.

    2. Push the accelerator pedal assembly in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) shown in the illustration to disengage the claw.

      Remove in this Direction (2)
    3. Pull the accelerator pedal assembly in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) shown in the illustration to remove it.
