Removal [11/2018 - 02/2019]: Procedure

2020 Toyota RAV4 XLE, AWDSECTION Procedure

  1. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 26

  2. REMOVE AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR 
    WARNING:

    To prevent burns, do not touch the engine, exhaust manifold or other high temperature components while the engine is hot.

    1. for Sensor 1:
      1. Detach the 3 wire harness clamps.

      2. Disconnect the air fuel ratio sensor connector.
      3. Using SST, remove the air fuel ratio sensor from the exhaust manifold.

        NOTE:

        If the air fuel ratio sensor has been struck or dropped, replace it.

    2. for Sensor 2:
      1. Detach the 2 wire harness clamps.

      2. Disconnect the air fuel ratio sensor connector.
      3. Using SST, remove the air fuel ratio sensor from the front exhaust pipe assembly.

        NOTE:

        If the air fuel ratio sensor has been struck or dropped, replace it.
