Climate Control System does not Operate on Driver Side [11/2018 - 02/2019]: Procedure

  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (SEAT BLOWER) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Air Conditioner / Active Test.
    5. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the Techstream.

      Body Electrical > Air Conditioner > Active Test

  2. REPLACE REFRESHING SEAT SWITCH (SEAT BLOWER SWITCH) 
    1. Replace the refreshing seat switch (seat blower switch) with a new or known good one.

      Refer to REMOVAL [11/2018 - 02/2019]

  3. CHECK CLIMATE CONTROL SEAT OPERATION 
    1. Check the climate control seat operation.

    REPLACE AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2018 - ] 

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SEATBACK CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER LH - SEAT CUSHION CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER ASSEMBLY LH) 
    1. Disconnect the T25 seatback climate control blower LH connector.
    2. Disconnect the T11 seat cushion climate control blower assembly LH connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      T25-4 (GND) - T11-4 (BFB-) Always Below 1 Ω
      T25-4 (GND) or T11-4 (BFB-) - Other terminals and body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      T25-1 (IG) - T11-5 (CTB) Always Below 1 Ω
      T25-1 (IG) or T11-5 (CTB) - Other terminals and body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      T25-3 (BFB+) - T11-6 (BBS) Always Below 1 Ω
      T25-3 (BFB+) or T11-6 (BBS) - Other terminals and body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  7. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SEAT CUSHION CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER ASSEMBLY LH - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the seat cushion climate control blower assembly LH connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      T11-1 (IG) - Body ground Power switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
      T11-1 (IG) - Body ground Power switch off Below 1 V
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      T11-8 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    1. Disconnect the T11 seat cushion climate control blower assembly LH connector.
    2. Disconnect the G46 air conditioning amplifier assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      T11-7 (SIGN) - G46-14 (LOUT) Always Below 1 Ω
      T11-7 (SIGN) or G46-14 (LOUT) - Other terminals and body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
