Removal [10/2019 - 08/2020]: Procedure

2020 Toyota RAV4 XLE, AWDSECTION Procedure
  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2019 - 06/2020] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [06/2020 - 08/2020]

  3. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY 
  4. REMOVE ECO-RUN VEHICLE CONVERTER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Move the lock lever and disconnect the connector from the eco-run vehicle converter assembly.

      *a Lock Lever
    2. Remove the 2 nuts and eco-run vehicle converter assembly.

  5. REMOVE NO. 1 CONVERTER CONTROL BRACKET 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and No. 1 converter control bracket from the eco-run vehicle converter assembly.
