DCM Data Signal Circuit between Radio Receiver and DCM [11/2018 - 10/2019]: Procedure

2020 Toyota RAV4 XLE, AWDSECTION Procedure
  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - TELEPHONE ANTENNA CORD (TELEPHONE ECU WIRE (TO TRANSCEIVER))) 
    1. Disconnect the G1 radio and display receiver assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the GG5 telephone antenna cord (telephone ECU wire (to Transceiver)) connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G1-10 (USBV) - GG5-5 (USBV) Always Below 1 Ω
      G1-11 (USBG) - GG5-3 (USBG) Always Below 1 Ω
      G1-15 (VOT+) - GG5-4 (VOR+) Always Below 1 Ω
      G1-16 (VOT-) - GG5-8 (VOR-) Always Below 1 Ω
      G1-13 (VOR+) - GG5-10 (VOT+) Always Below 1 Ω
      G1-14 (VOR-) - GG5-9 (VOT-) Always Below 1 Ω
      G1-12 (SGND) - GG5-1 (SG) Always Below 1 Ω
      G1-10 (USBV) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G1-11 (USBG) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G1-15 (VOT+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G1-16 (VOT-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G1-13 (VOR+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G1-14 (VOR-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G1-12 (SGND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    1. Disconnect the G123 telephone antenna cord (telephone ECU wire (to Transceiver)) connector from the DCM (telephone transceiver assembly).

    2. Disconnect the GG5 telephone antenna cord (telephone ECU wire (to Transceiver)) connector from the wire harness.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      G123-5 (USBV) - GG5-5 (USBV) Always Below 1 Ω
      G123-3 (USBG) - GG5-3 (USBG) Always Below 1 Ω

      G123-8 (VOR-) - GG5-8 (VOR-) Always Below 1 Ω
      G123-4 (VOT+) - GG5-10 (VOT+) Always Below 1 Ω

      G123-5 (USBV) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G123-3 (USBG) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    1. Disconnect the G123 telephone antenna cord (telephone ECU wire (to transceiver)) connector from the DCM (telephone transceiver assembly).

    2. Disconnect the GG7 telephone antenna cord (telephone ECU wire (to transceiver)) connector from the telephone antenna cord (telephone ECU wire).
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      G123-2 (USB+) - GG7-1 Always Below 1 Ω
      G123-1 (USB-) - GG7-2 Always Below 1 Ω
      G123-6 (USBS) - GG7-3 Always Below 1 Ω

      G123-1 (USB-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G123-6 (USBS) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    1. Disconnect the GG7 telephone antenna cord (telephone ECU wire) connector from the telephone antenna cord (telephone ECU wire (to transceiver)).

    2. Disconnect the G130 telephone antenna cord (telephone ECU wire) connector from the radio and display receiver assembly.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

      GG7-2 - G130-1 (US4+) Always Below 1 Ω
      GG7-1 - G130-2 (US4-) Always Below 1 Ω
      GG7-3 - G130-3 (UGD4) Always Below 1 Ω
