Sound Signal Circuit between Radio Receiver and Stereo Component Amplifier [11/2018 - 10/2022]: Procedure

2020 Toyota RAV4 XLE, AWDSECTION Procedure
  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect the G4 radio and display receiver assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the M3 stereo component amplifier assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      M3-5 (R+) - G4-1 (FR+) Always Below 1 Ω
      M3-4 (R-) - G4-6 (FR-) Always Below 1 Ω
      M3-3 (L+) - G4-2 (FL+) Always Below 1 Ω
      M3-2 (L-) - G4-7 (FL-) Always Below 1 Ω
      M3-6 (SLD) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      M3-5 (R+) or G4-1 (FR+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      M3-4 (R-) or G4-6 (FR-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      M3-3 (L+) or G4-2 (FL+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      M3-2 (L-) or G4-7 (FL-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
