DTC C1AA0: Front Camera Module Circuit [06/2017 - ]: Procedure

2019 Toyota Prius C LSECTION Procedure
  1. CHECK FOR DTCS 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Chassis / PCS/LDA/RSA/LVN / Trouble Codes.
    5. Check for DTCs (Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [11/2015 - ] ).
      RESULT:

      Result Proceed to
      DTC C1AA0 is not output A
      DTC C1AA0 is output B

    Result: 

    USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK 

    Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [11/2015 - ] )

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TSSC HTR RELAY COIL CIRCUIT) 
    1. Remove the GAUGE fuse.
    2. Remove the TSSC HTR relay.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      GAUGE fuse holder terminal 2 - TSSC HTR relay holder terminal 1
      • Positive (+) tester probe → GAUGE fuse holder terminal 2
      • Negative (-) tester probe → TSSC HTR relay holder terminal 1
      Always Below 1 Ω
      • Negative (-) tester probe → GAUGE fuse holder terminal 2
      • Positive (+) tester probe → TSSC HTR relay holder terminal 1
      Always 10 kΩ or higher
    4. w/o Sliding Roof:
      1. Disconnect the Q7 pre-collision city sensor connector.
      2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance

        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        Q7-8 (BUZ) - TSSC HTR relay holder terminal 1
        • Positive (+) tester probe → Q7-8 (BUZ)
        • Negative (-) tester probe → TSSC HTR relay holder terminal 1
        Always Below 1 Ω
        • Negative (-) tester probe → Q7-8 (BUZ)
        • Positive (+) tester probe → TSSC HTR relay holder terminal 1
        Always 10 kΩ or higher
      3. Connect the Q7 pre-collision city sensor connector.
    5. w/ Sliding Roof:
      1. Disconnect the Q8 pre-collision city sensor connector.
      2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance

        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        Q8-8 (BUZ) - TSSC HTR relay holder terminal 1
        • Positive (+) tester probe → Q8-8 (BUZ)
        • Negative (-) tester probe → TSSC HTR relay holder terminal 1
        Always Below 1 Ω
        • Negative (-) tester probe → Q8-8 (BUZ)
        • Positive (+) tester probe → TSSC HTR relay holder terminal 1
        Always 10 kΩ or higher
      3. Connect the Q8 pre-collision city sensor connector.
    6. Install the TSSC HTR relay.
    7. Install the GAUGE fuse.

    Result: 

    OK

  3. REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (TSSC HTR RELAY COIL CIRCUIT) 
    1. Repair or replace the harness or connector.

  4. REPLACE PRE-COLLISION CITY SENSOR 
    1. Replace the pre-collision city sensor.

      Refer to REMOVAL [11/2015 - ]

    2. Perform Pre-collision City Sensor Optical Axis Learning.
