DTC B2312: Driver Side Master Switch ON Stuck; DTC B2315: Passenger Side P/W Switch ON Stuck [06/2016 - ]: Procedure

2018 Toyota 86 GT, Standard TransSECTION Procedure
  1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT 
    1. Clear the DTCs (Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [06/2016 - ] ).
    2. Check the DTCs (Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [06/2016 - ] ).
      RESULT

      Result Proceed to
      DTC B2312 is output A
      DTC B2315 is output B

    Result: 

    REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY 

    (Refer to REMOVAL [06/2016 - ] )

  2. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Master Switch / Data List.
    5. According to the display on the Techstream, read the Data List.
      MASTER SWITCH

      The Techstream display changes normally when master switch is operated.

    REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER WINDOW MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY - POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect the E8 power window regulator master switch assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the F6 power window regulator switch assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance (Check for Open)

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E8-2 (UART) - F6-2 (UART) Always Below 1 Ω

      Standard Resistance (Check for Short)

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E8-2 (UART) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY 

    (Refer to REMOVAL [06/2016 - ] )

    Result: 

    NG
