Removal [08/2015 - ]: Procedure

2018 Toyota 4Runner SR5, 4WDSECTION Procedure
  1. REMOVE V-BANK COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10

  2. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP AND HOSE 
    1. Remove the air cleaner cap and hose.

      1. Disconnect the mass air flow meter connector, vacuum hose and ventilation hose and detach the 4 clamps.
      2. Loosen the clamp.
      3. Unfasten the 4 hook clamps, and then remove the bolt and air cleaner cap and hose.
  3. REMOVE AIR TUBE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  4. REMOVE NO. 1 EMISSION CONTROL VALVE SET 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  5. REMOVE NO. 2 AIR TUBE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  6. REMOVE NO. 2 EMISSION CONTROL VALVE SET 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  7. REMOVE IGNITION COIL ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the 6 ignition coil assembly connectors.

    2. Remove the 6 bolts and 6 ignition coil assemblies.
  8. REMOVE SPARK PLUG 
    1. Remove the 6 spark plugs.
