2018 Toyota 4Runner SR5, 4WDSECTION Procedure
  1. REMOVE DEICER RELAY (DEICER)

      Remove the deicer relay from the engine room relay block.

  2. INSPECT DEICER RELAY

    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      3 - 5 Battery voltage is not applied to terminals 1 and 2 10 kΩ or higher
      3 - 5 Battery voltage is applied to terminals 1 and 2 Below 1 Ω

      If the result is not as specified, replace the deicer relay.

  3. INSTALL DEICER RELAY 
    1. Install the deicer relay to the engine room relay block.
