Side Auto Step ECU Power Source Circuit [08/2015 - ]: Procedure

2018 Toyota 4Runner SR5, 4WDSECTION Procedure
  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SIDE AUTO STEP CONTROLLER ECU - BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the A41 side auto step controller ECU assembly connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A41-1 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE) 
    1. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A41-4 (B) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V

    Result: 

    PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE 

    (Refer to PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE [08/2015 - ] )

    Result: 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
