2011 Toyota Matrix AWD L4-2.4L (2AZ-FE)SECTION Installation




2AZ-FE ENGINE CONTROL: KNOCK SENSOR: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL KNOCK SENSOR

(a) Install the knock sensor with the nut.





Torque : 20 Nm (204 kgf-cm, 15 ft-lbf)

(b) Connect the sensor connector.

2. INSTALL NO. 1 INTAKE MANIFOLD INSULATOR

(a) Install the No. 1 intake manifold insulator.

3. INSTALL INTAKE MANIFOLD

(a) Install a new gasket to the intake manifold.





(b) Install the intake manifold with the 5 bolts and 2 nuts, and connect the wire harness clamp.

Torque : 30 Nm (306 kgf-cm, 22 ft-lbf)





(c) Connect the union to check valve hose.





(d) Connect the ventilation hose.





4. INSTALL FUEL DELIVERY PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY WITH FUEL TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

5. CONNECT FUEL TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

6. INSTALL THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY Installation

7. INSTALL SUSPENSION TOWER DAMPER ASSEMBLY (w/ Front Strut Bar) Installation

8. INSTALL OUTER COWL TOP PANEL Installation

9. INSTALL WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY Installation

10. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER LH Installation

11. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH Installation

12. INSTALL HOOD TO COWL TOP SEAL Installation

13. INSTALL FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY RH Installation

14. INSTALL FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY LH Installation

15. INSTALL FRONT WIPER ARM HEAD CAP Installation

16. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY WITH HOSE Installation

17. ADD ENGINE COOLANT Service and Repair

18. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK Testing and Inspection

19. INSPECT FOR FUEL LEAK Fuel System

20. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation
