DESCRIPTION

* When the front doors are closed, each power window regulator motor can control its power window operation for approximately 45 seconds after the engine switch is turned from on (IG) to off by receiving operation permission signals from the main body ECU.

* However, when approximately 45 seconds have elapsed, or the driver side door or front passenger side door is opened within approximately 45 seconds of the engine switch being turned off, the power window regulator motor stops operating.

* During the auto function operation, when 45 seconds have passed and key-off operation is prohibited, the window operation stops immediately.

* The front passenger side power window and the rear power windows cannot be operated when the window lock switch is on.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK LIN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

(a) Check for LIN communication system DTCs related to the power window control system Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

OK:

LIN communication system DTCs are not output.

NG -- GO TO LIN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM LIN Communication System
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK POWER WINDOW OPERATION FUNCTION AFTER ENGINE SWITCH OFF

(a) Check the power window operation function after the engine switch is turned off Fail-Safe Chart.

3. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (DOOR COURTESY SWITCH)

(a) Use the Data List to check if the main body ECU is functioning properly Scan Tool Testing and Procedures.

OK -- REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (COWL SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK LH)

4. CHECK FRONT DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH

(a) Open the driver side door and check that the map light illuminates Operation Check.

OK:

Map light illuminates.

(b) Open the front passenger side door and check that the map light illuminates Operation Check.

OK:

Map light illuminates.
