2011 Toyota FJ Cruiser 2WD V6-4.0L (1GR-FE)SECTION Removal




AIR CONDITIONING: COMPRESSOR: REMOVAL

1. DISCHARGE REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM Service and Repair

2. REMOVE FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT

(a) Remove the fan and generator V belt Removal.

3. REMOVE FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL LH





(a) Remove the 5 clips and the front fender apron seal.

4. REMOVE FRONT FENDER REAR SPLASH SHIELD LH





(a) Remove the 5 clips and the front fender rear splash shield.

5. DISCONNECT NO. 2 ENGINE WIRE





(a) Remove the bolt and disconnect the ground wire.

(b) Disengage the clamp and disconnect the No. 2 engine wire.

(c) Open the cover from terminal 30.





(d) Remove the 3 bolts and nut and disconnect the No. 2 engine wire.

6. DISCONNECT SUCTION HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY





(a) Remove the bolt and separate the suction hose.

(b) Remove the bolt and disconnect the suction hose.

(c) Remove the O-ring from the suction hose.

NOTICE:
Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent moisture and foreign matter from entering.

7. DISCONNECT DISCHARGE HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY





(a) Remove the bolt and disconnect the discharge hose.

(b) Remove the O-ring from the discharge hose.

NOTICE:
Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent moisture and foreign matter from entering.

8. REMOVE COOLER COMPRESSOR ASSEMBLY





(a) Disconnect the connector.

(b) Remove the 3 bolts and nut.

(c) Using a "TORX" socket wrench (E8), remove the stud bolt and the cooler compressor.
