  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
  2. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL LOWER CENTER (for Sedan) (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  3. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END LH (for Sedan) (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  4. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Manual Transaxle) 
  5. REMOVE SHIFTING HOLE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Hatchback Manual Transaxle) (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  6. REMOVE UPPER CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Sedan) (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  7. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX REAR COVER (for Hatchback) (See  REMOVAL 
  8. REMOVE CONSOLE UPPER REAR PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Sedan) (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  9. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX CARPET (SEE  REMOVAL  ) 
  10. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY (SEE  REMOVAL  ) 
  11. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PAD LOWER LH (for Sedan) (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  12. REMOVE HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  13. REMOVE EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY FRONT 
    1. Remove the 4 bolts and 4 compression springs.
    2. Remove exhaust pipe support No. 4 and the exhaust front pipe assembly.

    3. Remove the 2 exhaust pipe gaskets.
  14. REMOVE EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY TAIL 
    1. Remove the 2 No. 4 exhaust pipe supports and the exhaust tail pipe assembly. (for Hatchback)

    2. Remove the 3 No. 4 exhaust pipe supports and the exhaust tail pipe assembly. (for Sedan)
