Front Speed Sensor: Removal

2009 Toyota Yaris S, 4D HatchbackSECTION Removal
  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
  2. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL 
  3. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER 
    1. Remove the 3 screws, 6 clips and 4 grommets and remove the front fender liner.
  4. REMOVE FRONT SPEED SENSOR

    1. Remove the speed sensor clip from the body.
    2. Disconnect the speed sensor connector.
    3. Remove the 3 clips.
    4. Remove the bolt and separate the clamp from the body.
    5. Remove the bolt and separate the clamp from the shock absorber.
    6. Remove the bolt and remove the speed sensor from the steering knuckle.
      NOTE:
      • Keep the speed sensor tip and installation portion free of foreign matter.
      • Remove the speed sensor without turning it from its original installation angle.
