DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM

1. DIAGNOSIS





(a) If the skid control ECU detects a malfunction, the ABS/BRAKE warning lights and SLIP/CRAWL indicator lights and/or "Check VSC System" on the multi-information display will come on to warn the driver.

2. WARNING LIGHT AND INDICATOR LIGHT CHECK
(a) Release the parking brake lever.
NOTE: When releasing the parking brake, set chocks to hold the vehicle for safety.
HINT: When the parking brake is applied or the level of the brake fluid is low, the BRAKE warning light comes on.

(b) When the engine switch is turned on (IG), check that the ABS and BRAKE warning lights and the VSC OFF, SLIP and CRAWL indicator lights turn on and then turn off after the engine starts.
If a light remains on, proceed to troubleshooting for the light circuit below.
