Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor: Installation

2009 Toyota FJ Cruiser RWDSECTION Installation
  1. INSTALL ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR 
    1. Using a 19 mm deep socket wrench, install the water temperature sensor with a new gasket.

      Torque: 20 N*m (204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf)

    2. Connect the connector.
  2. CONNECT NO. 2 FUEL PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See INSTALLATION )
  3. INSTALL INTAKE AIR SURGE TANK  (See INSTALLATION )
  4. INSTALL NO. 2 SURGE TANK STAY  (See INSTALLATION )
  5. INSTALL NO. 1 SURGE TANK STAY  (See INSTALLATION )
  6. INSTALL OIL BAFFLE PLATE  (See INSTALLATION )
  7. INSTALL THROTTLE BODY BRACKET  (See INSTALLATION )
  8. INSTALL AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY  (See INSTALLATION  )
  9. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Torque: 3.9 N*m (40 kgf*cm, 35 in.*lbf) 

  10. ADD ENGINE COOLANT  (See REPLACEMENT )
  11. CHECK FOR ENGINE COOLANT LEAKAGE  (See REPLACEMENT )
  12. CHECK FOR FUEL LEAKAGE 
  13. INSTALL V-BANK COVER  (See INSTALLATION  )
