On-Vehicle Inspection
2009 Toyota FJ Cruiser RWDSECTION On-Vehicle Inspection
- INSPECT ACCELERATOR PEDAL RODΒ
- Check the voltage.
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch ON.
- Turn the tester ON.
- Start the engine and warm it up.
- Select the following menu items: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Data List / Accelerator Position No. 1, Accelerator Position No. 2.
- Operate the accelerator pedal, then check that the Accelerator Position No. 1 and Accelerator Position No. 2 values are within the specifications.

ACCELERATOR POSITION NO. 1Β
STANDARD VOLTAGEAccelerator Pedal Condition Specified Condition Released 0.5 to 1.1 V Fully depressed 2.6 to 4.5 V ACCELERATOR POSITION NO. 2Β
STANDARD VOLTAGEAccelerator Pedal Condition Specified Condition Released 1.2 to 2.0 V Fully depressed 3.4 to 5.0 V If the result is not as specified, check the accelerator pedal rod, wire harness and ECM.
- Check the voltage.
